Program Outlook
Robotics is an interdisciplinary research area at the interface of computer science and engineering. Robotics involves design, construction, operation, and use of robots. The goal of robotics is to design intelligent machines that can help and assist humans in their day-to-day lives. Robots are all around us. From the food we eat to the cars we drive, robots help make our lives easier, more efficient, and simply more fun! The field of robotics is expanding at a rapid pace.
Program Description
This program leads to a certificate in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.
Kids MakeIt’s Robotics program helps lead young people into the exciting field of Robotic Science. This program inspires youth and develops an early interest in robotics engineering and technology. In each class, students learn about the underlying scientific or engineering concepts related to robotics. As students progress through the curriculum, their knowledge of the multidisciplinary nature of robotics grows.
Program Objective
Youth will learn teamwork, problem-solving, critical thinking, engineering and design. Youth will also learn how to design, build, and program robots in exciting and hands-on projects.
