Program Outlook
Engineering is the branch of science and technology dealing with the design, building, maintenance and use of engines, machines and structures. It includes subcategories such as electrical, chemical, mechanical, civil, architectural engineering and computer engineering. Engineering is one of the fastest-growing fields in the world, but the number of qualified workers is not keeping up with the demand. The rapid pace of technological innovation will likely increase Engineering jobs in research and development to support the design and distribution of systems related to new technologies. Engineers play key roles in new developments and private and public technologies.
Program Description
This program leads to a certificate in Systems Design and General Engineering.
Kids MakeIt’s Engineering program provides hands-on activities in robotics, rocketry, computer science and electrical engineering. Our camps, classes, and programs allow students to dive deeper into specific types of engineering including aerospace, chemical, civil, electrical, electronic, environmental, industrial, marine, mechanical, robotics, and software.
